ONLY A FEW BOTTLES LEFT!  Derived from the extreme southeast tip of the Brown Estate Vineyard in Chiles Valley, Duane Dappen’s partnership with the Brown family has allowed him the opportunity to source from one of the finest Zinfandel vineyards within Napa valley.  This particular piece, the “Sugarloaf Block”, lies directly beneath a steep, north-facing knoll.

Tasting Notes from Proprietor & Winemaker Duane David Dappen: This vintage from Brown Vineyards has bright cherries, Santa Rosa plum fruit, allspice and black pepper, with hints of vanilla and oak. It is full bodied with nice round tannins. Typical of Brown Vineyards, the 2009 is very mouth-filling without being out of balance. The palate has cherries and spice that carry all the way to the long finish.
